A place for innovation and community - Welcome to Brygghuset, this year's host of the Coworking Awards 2024

We had the pleasure of meeting Cecilia Lind and Jens Alex at Brygghuset to get an insight into their latest initiatives and their views on the future of coworking. During the conversation, they shared the changes they have seen in the industry and how Brygghuset has evolved to meet new needs. In addition, the team is looking forward to hosting this year's Coworking Awards, where Workaround invites the industry to create a memorable experience.

- “We're really looking forward to opening the doors to our industry colleagues and showcasing our unique environment, architecture and the great atmosphere we've created here at Brygghuset. We hope that our guests, who are part of our community, will take away a sense of how we work together and how we foster innovation and collaboration. For us, this event is an important platform to highlight the coworking industry and its importance,” says Jens Alex, owner and CEO of Brygghuset.

When asked about the biggest changes in the industry over the past year, they respond:

- Coworking has become more accepted, and today many companies and individuals have a better understanding of the costs associated with flexible workspaces. At the same time, the economic climate and indexation of rents have created challenges for both us as an operator and our members.

But challenges have also led to new initiatives to meet members' needs.

- We have always had a clear picture of our members' needs and focus on creating an environment where everyone feels heard. We are constantly working to improve the working environment so that their working lives are truly enhanced by our offerings,” they explain.

For Brygghuset, the past year has also brought success.

- “Winning ‘Local Coworking Space of the Year 2023’ was a great motivation for our team. It has been incredibly positive for our communication and has strengthened our pride and visibility in the market, they say with a smile.

They see the future of coworking with positive eyes.

- “One trend we're seeing right now is that many people who previously used flexible spaces are now looking for permanent workplaces or offices. This change in working patterns shows that stability and continuity have become increasingly important for our members.

In order to foster a positive and productive culture, the Brewhouse continues to strengthen communication with its members.

- We have continued our approach as before but have also strengthened communication through newsletters and updates on what is happening in the House. As the Brewhouse houses many different activities, it is important to keep all members informed and engaged.

Brygghuset also believes in the importance of an inclusive coworking environment.

- An important factor is to give all companies the opportunity to present their business if they wish. This has led to many synergies between the companies here, where they buy services from each other and create value together.

Looking back on the past years, they reflect:

- “One of the biggest lessons has been that we should have built some parts of our premises differently, like the size of the offices. But we have also realized that our flexibility has been a key factor to success. Our ability to adapt to the needs of our members has made us an attractive partner for many businesses.

Brygghuset continues to be a key player in the coworking industry, and their commitment to creating an inclusive and sustainable work environment is reflected in their work and vision for the future.

We at Workaround thank Brygghuset for their insights and look forward to seeing you at the award ceremony for the “Coworking Awards 2024” on March 10 at Brygghuset.
