Surroundings and area
Leipziger Platz/Potsdamer Platz is the business centre of Berlin and lies at the junction between East and West Berlin. This is where the S-Bahn and U-Bahn lines intersect, running in north-east and west-east directions respectively. Many renowned and international companies, as well as numerous hotels, restaurants and shopping facilities such as the ‘Mall of Berlin’, are based here. The Bundesrat is situated right on Leipziger Platz. The Bundestag, countless ministries and the Brandenburg Gate are all in the immediate vicinity. Berlin’s Tiergarten, the city’s ‘green lung’, is also just a few steps away and is ideal for a jog (showers available in the centre) or a leisurely stroll.
Commuting
Potsdamer Platz/Leipziger Platz is ideally connected to the public transport network. This is where the underground and suburban rail services intersect, running east-west and north-south respectively. Access points to public transport are located directly at the building. Bus and regional bus routes complement the service. The main station can be reached in two minutes by regional train, or in a maximum of eight minutes by bus or S-Bahn. By car, Potsdamer Platz/Leipziger Platz is very easily accessible via Potsdamer Straße or Straße des 17. Juni.
